Make-up Tips: How To Pick the Perfect Brush For You!

Submitted by @Vbeauty who is a make up artist in Taaz  Let me share a lil info how to pick the perfect brush for you.

Makeup Tips from a Makeup Artist
At my makeup boutique, it’s a common request to find the perfect blush for one’s skin tone. For me, blush is an accessory. It adds color to the face, and it can complement anything from the blouse that you’re wearing to your eye shadow. Here are my tips when looking for the perfect blush!

Step 1: Know What You Want

Are you a fan of mauves, corals, pinks or rosy tones? Do you prefer shimmer or matte? Knowing the answer to these questions will assist you in your blush search. If you don’t know the answer to these questions, then you can try some on or follow me to the next step ;)

Step 2: Skin Tone & Type

Typically, warm or golden tones will look good in pinks and rosy shades. Cool tones are naturally pink, so you will want to choose a shade that is warm such as corals or neutral rosy colors. My suggestions for warm tones are Bare Escentuals Joyous Jennifer (shimmer bronze/rosy), Hint (shimmer pink) and Compassion (matte rosy). For cool tones, I’d recommend Golden Gate (matte neutral coral/rosy), Vintage Peach (shimmer coral) and Warmth (matte bronze/rosy). Also, another tip to help you pick shimmer vs. matte would be to determine if you want a highlighting glow or not. People with dry skin will sometimes opt for shimmer to give them a healthy glow, and oilier skin will look better with matte blushes.

Step 3: Blush Type

Also, if you are looking for something longer-wearing, then you should try cream blush or a stain. Benefit is really popular for their stains, and Nars has amazing cream blushes (very true to color)! A setting spray can also be used to help your blush stay on longer! Urban Decay has a selection of setting sprays, but my favorite is Dew Me! It leaves your skin feeling so soft!

Step 4: Match to Your Lip Color

When in doubt, I always say match to your lip color. It’ll tie everything in together, and it will accentuate your lips!

I hope above helped.
